Join Saint Francis Softball for an exclusive Advanced Catching Skills Camp designed for catchers ready to elevate every aspect of their game. This elite session is led by SFU Coach Abby Doerr, former standout catcher at the University of Alabama and Oregon State University, who competed at the highest levels of collegiate softball — including the Women’s College World Series.
Focus Areas:

Receiving & Framing: Improve glove control, pitch presentation, and subtle movement to win strikes.

Footwork & Transfers: Master efficient movement patterns and quick, clean exchanges.

Throwing Mechanics: Refine arm slot consistency and release efficiency for elite pop times.

Blocking & Recovery: Develop advanced blocking angles, dirt reads, and rebound control.

Leadership & Game IQ: Learn how elite catchers manage pitchers, defenses, and game tempo.
Who Should Attend:

Travel ball and High School/Middle School catchers (grades 7–12)

Players looking to play at the collegiate level
WHAT TO BRING TO THE CLINIC:
Players should bring glove, helmet, and bat. Players should also bring indoor shoes. Players are responsible for bringing their own lunch and water. Be sure to label all equipment and personal items. MAXX Fastpitch and the host facility will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
