This one day softball hitting clinic will be led by hitting instructor, Steve Englishbey.
This clinic is open to softball players graduating in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 and will be limited to 24 spots for hitters.
We will also have 10 spots open for coaches (youth, travel, high school, college) who would like to learn more about helping their hitters develop an elite softball swing.
Steve has substantial experience training athletes and has a deep intellectual interest in sports science theory and application including biomechanics, functional anatomy, sports psychology, motor learning, motor control, etc. He has spent hundreds of hours studying video of elite baseball and fastpitch softball hitters and applies his knowledge on the field with hitters of all ages and levels. He also has spent considerable time swinging the bat himself and applying many of the same concepts and practice methods to his own swing that he teaches to others. No one knows how to teach the elite level swing better than Steve! You can learn more about Steve at www.englishbeyhitting.com.
In addition to the unique philosophies and drills that we will be incorporating into this clinic, we will also use Diamond Kinetics to provide video analysis and measurements of each player's swing. We will be measuring hand speed, barrel speed, exit velocity, launch angle, and distance. All participants will receive the data from their swings following the clinic!
